What is coworking? Simply put, it means to share space to work, network, collaborate and build community. When working from home isn’t working for you, coworking lets you access office amenities, meeting rooms, and the social aspects of a professional office – without the workplace drama.
At SHIFT Work + Play, you can tailor your experience to your style. Grab a seat in our community workspace, reserve your own dedicated desk, or lease a private office. Whatever you choose, you’ll also benefit from a community of other professionals, parents and entrepreneurs. Every coworking space is different, and we look forward to showing you what SHIFT has to offer.

Is SHIFT Work + Play a daycare?
Do you offer day passes?
Because we have children onsite, we take extra steps to prioritize the privacy and safety of all our guests. As such, we do not offer day passes to the public. Existing members with part-time plans may purchase day passes to supplement their monthly plans. Potential members may book a tour and try out coworking until 3 PM on the same day or sign up for our “Work + Play Wednesdays” on the last Wednesday of every month.
Do you have meeting rooms?
Yes! We have one small meeting room (up to 4 people) and one medium meeting room (up to 6 people). Meeting rooms are equipped with a whiteboard and computer monitor with HDMI cable. Members are able to make reservations online through our member portal. Non-members can fill out a meeting room request form here.
What about event space?
Our large common room (with access to the kitchen) is available for evening and weekend events on a limited basis. Fill out our contact form for custom pricing and availability.
I don’t need the playroom. Is SHIFT Work + Play still a good fit for me?
Come visit! SHIFT Work + Play was designed with parents in mind but is open to everyone. We have a variety of membership plans and quiet workspaces. Conveniently located adjacent to downtown Frederick, with a modern and spacious vibe and plenty of onsite parking, there’s lots to love about SHIFT.
