megan donovan

Megan is a Frederick County-based working parent with two kids under 10 and over a decade of experience as a lawyer and lobbyist for nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C.  Winner of the “Idea Stage” of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 SHE Pitch competition, Megan now serves the Chamber as an Ambassador and a member of the Women in Business Committee. In her spare time, Megan is a therapeutic horseback riding instructor and enjoys exploring Frederick County’s wonderful trails, parks and libraries with her family.

olivia stout

playroom manager

Olivia is working toward her degree to become a Neuro Sonography Technician. She brings childcare experience across professional and personal settings, including as a Childcare Team Lead at the YMCA of Frederick and as a Registered Behavior Technician, where she worked one-on-one with children with autism and other developmental disabilities. She’s also skilled in ASL and enjoys helping deaf families and children communicate, and loves teaching kids (and their grown-ups) a few signs along the way.

Olivia believes no child should be treated differently or feel isolated, and she works hard to build a genuine relationship with each child so they feel included and valued. Outgoing and naturally optimistic, she enjoys finding the good in any situation. She’s excited to grow her network, express her creativity, and create a fun, welcoming environment for the children at SHIFT.

kyla jackson

playroom attendant

Kyla is working toward an Early Childhood Education degree at Mount St. Mary’s University. She brings hands-on experience from Frederick County Division of Parks & Recreation, where she began as inclusion support staff, then went on to work as a camp counselor and assistant coordinator. She enjoys being around children and participating in their learning and development. In particular, she loves teaching them new things, watching their personalities grow, and being a source of comfort and support.

Outside of school and work, Kyla enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and making memories with the people she loves. She is excited to advance her career and create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment for the children at SHIFT.
